The superintendent of West Marion Elementary School wants to teach your children that it’s wrong to even mention God:

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Some parents and students are outraged after McDowell County School Officials forced a 6-year-old girl to remove the word God from a poem honoring veterans in her family…

The West Marion Elementary School student was preparing for a Veterans Day program when she read her poem, but it was soon edited by the superintendent to remove the word God.

As one commenter stated, it appears that Freedom of Speech only exists for non-Christians.

Oh, For God’s Sake: NBC Uses Golf Telecast To Make A Political Statement

with one comment

The NBC peacock showed its true colors Sunday when the network cut the words “under God” from the pledge of allegiance.

NBC on Sunday decided to cut the words “under God” from the reading of the Pledge of Allegiance that accompanied the beginning of its coverage of the U.S. Open Golf Championship.

Later, after receiving a barrage of criticism, the network issued an on-air apology of sorts, admitting only that “a portion of the pledge” was omitted. They would not say on the air what words had been omitted.

It’s quite obvious that the omission—which occurred twice—was intentional.

In short, NBC producers edited The Pledge of Allegiance to specifically remove the words “under God” and broadcast it to a nationwide audience viewing the U.S. Open on a Sunday afternoon.

NBC is not sorry that they offended millions of Americans. They knew that millions of viewers would immediately recognize that “under God” had been omitted. And they knew that a large percentage of those viewers would be offended.

NBC producers chose to use a sports broadcast to further a political agenda, severely damaging their own reputation in the process.

Are Scientists Expected to be Atheists?

leave a comment »

According to a recent article in the New York Times:

In a 1998 survey, 7.5 percent of physicists and astronomers in the National Academy of Sciences said they believed in God…

According to that same article, one scientist claims that he was denied a job because of his Christian beliefs.  A second scientist claims that he was denied tenure, and a third alleges that he was harassed after he published a paper supporting Intelligent Design theory.

If, in fact, scientists who admit their belief in God are potential victims of harassment and job discrimination, is it any wonder that only 7.5 percent of those surveyed admitted to a belief in God?
